THE BOOK HOUSE STAFF EATS A LOT OF GARLIC

We like to eat. Actually, an understatement--we really, really like to eat. Today, we celebrated our manager, Dan's birthday with takeout from the Lark Street branch of Al-Baraki. We had chicken shawarma, assorted mezze (baba ganoosh, hummus, tabbouli, grape leaves) and pita, all topped by owner Paul's sublime garlic sauce. Now, we reek of garlic and are collectively incredibly happy. Happy Birthday, Dan!
